On February 9 morning, Hu Henghua, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee secretary, visited the Changsha Railway Station to inspect the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures there.

Secretary Hu stressed that, based on the new situation after the Spring Festival holiday, it is necessary to control the source of the epidemic, conduct strict epidemic screening, implement joint prevention and control measures, so as to strengthen the line of defense against the epidemic.

Liao Jianhua, Standing Committee member and secretary general of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, participated in the inspection.

After walking into the Changsha Railway Station, Secretary Hu inquired in detail about the inbound and outbound passenger flow and the implementation of epidemic prevention measures. He checked the equipment operation at the temperature screening checkpoints and the preparation of epidemic prevention materials at the station.

Facing the post-holiday travel peak, the Changsha Railway Station has installed 6 infrared thermometers at the station entrances and exits and arranged on-duty staff with infrared handheld temperature measuring guns, to monitor the body temperature of passengers entering and exiting from the station.

Secretary Hu pointed out that, epidemic prevention and control during the post-holiday travel peak is the priority task and such crowded places as stations and airports are the key places to curb the spread of the epidemic. It is necessary to concentrate on screening passengers entering and leaving the station and monitoring their body temperature, to ensure thorough investigation and registration. Furong District, where the station is located, should earnestly assume its due responsibilities and do its best to prevent and control the epidemic, so as to achieve early identification, reporting, isolation, and diagnosis and treatment, and cut off the transmission of the virus from the source.
